Several national news sources announced Friday that former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to providing false statements to the FBI; an admission that could easily lead special prosecutor Robert Mueller closer to the president himself.

In what came as a bombshell to news outlets across the world, Flynn has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the ongoing “Russia Investigation”. Earlier this month, it was revealed that both Flynn and his son were parties of interest in the Mueller investigation. And it seems that the former foreign advisor to the Trump campaign has decided to put his family before his ties to the White House, as he has already disclosed higher level officials within the administration.

According to sources, Flynn has said that he communicated with “high level officials” within Trump’s transition team, regarding meetings with certain Russian officials. These sources have acknowledged that one of those officials is none other than Trump’s son in law, Jared Kushner, which means that the investigation is getting dangerously close to the president himself.
