Gaymont Nursing Center and Firelands Local (formerly CLI) are teaming up with several other local businesses for a canned food drive and community art project.
Hearts for Hunger is now collecting canned goods through February 12 in the name of community art and feeding those in need. Once all canned goods have been collected, students from the NHS art club will create “can bears” in downtown Norwalk. Those bears will be on display for a week, before being disassembled and taken to the Norwalk Area Food Bank.
Local drop-off points include: Amez Boutique, Annette Wilcox – Century 21 Premiere Properties, Bluto’s Sports Bar & Grill, Christie Lane Industries, Ernsthausen Recreation Center, Foghorn Designs, Gaymont Nursing Center, the Huron County Chamber of Commerce, Miller’s Markets, New Direction Design, the New London Pizza House, Northern Ohio Family Practice, Norwalk City Hall and Patina 46.
