The Norwalk Area United Fund has been a crucial player in our community since 1877. The non-profit organization impacts Huron County not only by funding a safety net of services for people needing short-term assistance, but also by working with other agencies and organizations to identify the underlying causes of our most critical local issues. They also fund solutions to address those issues through local programs making positive, long-term changes in people’s lives. In short, they give people the tools necessary to move towards self-sufficiency, building a brighter future and a stronger community.

One of the group’s biggest annual events is Tool Time, an annual fundraiser that revolves around tools; held each spring at the Huron County Fairgrounds. This year’s event is happening on Saturday, April 28th from 1 till 4 pm. It will feature Canadian (Chinese) raffles, silent auction packages, a live auction, $5 raffles, a huge grand prize, outdoor games, skills challenge, excellent food, and fun with friends.

Tickets available by any United Fund Board member or at the United Fund office at 2 East Seminary Street in Norwalk. Additional information is available at the official Facebook EVENT PAGE.
